My client, an International giant in the field telecom solutions and delivery, are looking for innovators and visionaries to help develop the next generation of carrier and network delivery.


QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
More than 12 years experience in Core Network Domain control layer (e.g. Circuit switch, Softswitch, IMS) with at least 3 years in IMS design, or research.
Thorough understanding technologies such as Fixed PSTN, NGN network, 2G, 3G mobile core network, Internet application and Multi-media. Experiences of 3GPP/3GPP2 IMS and CS network would be welcome, as well as familiarity with how internet applications can be best integrated with telecom networks.
More than 5 years experience in research work. It would be desirable that the applicant should have operated as a research manager or senior expert in at least one large or middle scale research project.
Preferred skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Excellent interpersonal skills as well as a team player.
Familiarity with research methodologies, system requirement analysis, and architecture design, extensive understanding of mature architecture models in industry

JOB SCOPE:
Currently we are looking for a contractor with experience within R&D of IMS applications.
We are looking for a professional to Lead research into the IMS application area(e.g. IMS+Web , IMS based IPTV), You will be responsible in guiding the senior researchers in a technical direction. The role involves Research and collaboration within industry (e.g. operators, commercial and non-commercial research institutes and vendors) to ensure the client maintains its position at the leading edge of new developments. This contact work may be through workshops, face to face meeting and online collaboration etc.
Your responsibility will be in discovering and initiating new key technologies (whether by demonstration through research papers, or perhaps prototypes), This would include proposals for the products future development.
Further, part of the brief includes the possibility of bringing such innovation to the appropriate technical standard and perhaps action to make a leading standard and to develop and apply for the necessary patents.
